SRC-102
Report ITU-R SM.2392-1, Applications of wireless power transmission via radio frequency beam
Published claims resting on this source
- CLM-0053 Power beaming is not a recognised radio service, so no spectrum is expected to be allocated for beaming power from space and no international numeric emission limit applies to it; the general duty not to cause harmful interference to radio services does apply.
- CLM-0054 None of the seven ITU documents on wireless power transmission that were searched mentions what a power beam does to the ionosphere.
- CLM-0120 There is still no international radio allocation for beaming power from space, and the studies are not due until 2031.
- CLM-0164 Two international radio-regulation reports and a radio-science white paper on beaming power from space never mention GPS-type satellite navigation in connection with heating the upper atmosphere, and none of them gives a figure in metres for how far off such navigation could be thrown.
