In plain terms

The Russian formulas are a different shape from the 0.43 relation, so they cannot be used to check it either way.

The claim as recorded

No Soviet or Russian threshold expression obtained is structurally comparable to the 0.43 relation, their critical fields being of order 30 to 100 millivolts per metre with no electron density dependence and different temperature and frequency exponents, so the Russian lineage can neither corroborate nor refute the coefficient.

Evidence behind this: T0-ANALYSIS, so no CALC is owed: this record DERIVES NO NUMBER. A lineage comparison of the threshold expressions in SRC-132 and SRC-133 against the exponents of the 0.43 relation, returning structural non-comparability; the reasoning is RSN-001 (a reasoning record since 2026-09-13). The 30 to 100 mV/m is SRC-132's figure, not a derived one.

Scope and limits

Five sources were read; the 1978 Springer monograph (Gurevich, Nonlinear Phenomena in the Ionosphere, SRC-132 reference 14) and an earlier 1974 self-focusing letter (Vas'kov and Gurevich, JETP Lett. 20, 241, SRC-133 reference 17) were not obtained, and no SURA experimental measurement paper was obtained (Erukhimov et al. 1987 is identified as SRC-132 reference 33, not held), so the MEASURED Soviet-era evidence remains unconfirmed from primary sources. On SRC-132's own summary the 1980s Sura measurements concern HF-induced field-aligned irregularities, so obtaining them is not expected to supply an underdense microwave case (OI-086).

What it assumes

gives a critical field Ec of order 30 to 100 mV/m for the resonance instability with no explicit density dependence. SRC-133's threshold is on density perturbation, not power. Against the working relation's Ne^-3, Te^+4, f^+3. The mismatch is structural, not numerical.
