In plain terms

Every dollar amount in this document is priced as if it were 2022, matching NASA's own report; nothing has been adjusted for inflation to today's prices.

The claim as recorded

All cost figures in this model and in the NASA OTPS source report are FY2022 USD, nominal, as stated on the source report's own cost tables; no inflation adjustment to a 2026 basis has been applied in this model, and doing so would raise every dollar figure here by an ASSUMED, illustrative, uncalculated amount on the order of 15-20% (US CPI, 2022-2026) if a like-for-like comparison to a 2026-basis figure is ever needed.

Evidence behind this: T0-ANALYSIS, so no CALC is owed: this record DERIVES NO NUMBER. It is a basis-year declaration - all figures are FY2022 USD nominal, no inflation adjustment applied. Characterisation taken from synthesis/calcs.md's own disposition table, which sorted these records and recorded that they carry no arithmetic of their own. Method, stated here so a reader can dispute it: the judgement is made over the claims and calculations named in src, and rests on no quantity this record computes.

Scope and limits

This is a bookkeeping/discipline note, not a substantive economic finding; the 15-20% figure is illustrative and has not been applied to any number in this document.

What it assumes

The report's stated FY22$ basis applies uniformly across every cost table in the report (not separately verified line by line beyond the tables read for this analysis).

Where it comes from

SRC-012 Space Based Solar Power., 2024
NASA OTPS report, Tables 15-20 headers, "Cost Estimate Results (FY22$)".

Basis: currency and basis-year discipline note, not a cost figure itself
