Value chain · CLM-0546
In plain terms
No source in the register, and none found in a general web search, gives a rigorous estimate of what firmed solar or wind power will cost in the 2040s or 2050s. The two pieces that exist (a firming-cost estimate for 2026, and a future battery-cost trend) have not been joined in any source found.
The claim as recorded
No source in the register, and none located in a fresh search, publishes a rigorous, resource-adequacy-standard or ELCC-based firmed terrestrial LCOE projected forward to the 2040s or 2050s; Lazard's Cost of Firming Intermittency (CLM-0264) is a 2026 snapshot only, and NREL/NLR ATB's storage-plus-generation figures (CLM-0260) use only 4-hour onsite storage, not a capacity-accredited firm figure.
Scope and limits
A negative finding from a search, not proof no such study exists anywhere; the search was a general web search, not an exhaustive academic-database search (Semantic Scholar, OpenAlex and Crossref were not used directly).
What it assumes
No assumptions are recorded against this claim.
Where it comes from
This is the project's own working, shown in full:
The register records that a Lazard 2050 projection does not exist, and that Lazard's LCOE+ is explicitly not a forecasting tool; a fresh web search found no equivalent forward-firmed study.
