- CLM-0877 A US regulator's order repeats a spaceflight news site's count of more than 3,500 Starlink satellites launched by October 2022. If that count is right, doubling from one unit to 3,500 takes nearly twelve doublings, and the company must have built at least as many as it launched, so that is a floor rather than an estimate - but the number is a journalist's, carried by the regulator rather than established by it.
- CLM-0878 By late 2022 the Starlink production line had roughly halved the distance to the scale a solar power satellite programme would need, about nine more doublings of output still to go. A doubling means building twice as many as every one built before, so nine of them is a very long way.
