CALC-031

Load factor at which a 2 GW plant crosses the SQSS clause 2.7 threshold

Calculation · Cited by CLM-0782

What this is

This is the project's own arithmetic, published in full so it can be checked rather than taken on trust. It is not a source. Every input it uses is cited to a record, and the conclusion it reaches only carries as far as those inputs do.

2000 GWh / (2 GW x 8760 h) = 0.1142, that is 11.4 per cent. Above that load factor the 5 km overhead line limit applies instead of 20 km.

Origin: produced by the VC08 grid-interface pass. Every figure above was recomputed independently before this record was written, not transcribed - 16 of 16 checks reproduced the pass's values.
