In plain terms

No source held here gives a computed model of how a kilometre-scale structure of this kind bends: its modes and their shapes. Two separate calculations here both stop at the same point for want of it. Until somebody models that structure, both answers stay as ratios rather than numbers.

The claim as recorded

No computed first mode and no modal shapes for a 1 km solar power satellite antenna structure were found in any source held here, within the scope of the searches stated under limits; stated deformation amplitudes and stated first natural frequencies are held (CLM-0954, CLM-0995). The consequence is specific rather than general: two independent derivations both terminate at this absence. The detector-spacing relation gives permitted spacing only as a multiple of the structural correlation length, and the timing-tick requirement gives a millisecond figure only as a function of modal frequency and amplitude. Neither converts to an engineering number without a modal model, so the same missing input blocks both.

Evidence behind this: T0-analysis. A recorded absence with its search scope stated.

Scope and limits

THE SCOPE OF THIS ABSENCE IS NARROW AND MUST NOT BE WIDENED IN SUMMARY. The search that found nothing was directed at PHASE CONTROL, pilot beams and retrodirective operation. A targeted search for structural dynamics, deployable-structure modal analysis or on-orbit deformation measurement has NOT been run. This record therefore states that no modal model turned up while looking for something else, which is much weaker than stating that none exists. The structures literature for large deployables is substantial and it is likely that relevant analyses exist. Recording this as "not found" when it is really "not searched for" would be exactly the defect this register guards against, so it is recorded as the former only within the stated scope. NARROWED 2026-09-17: THE AMPLITUDE HALF OF THIS CLAIM IS CONTRADICTED BY A HELD SOURCE; THE MODAL HALF STANDS. SRC-451 Vol III s.2.1.2, PDF p.28, carries a thermal/structural analysis of the 1 km, 40 m deep MPTS antenna done "to determine deformations to be used in establishment of requirements for phase front control", with amplitudes and their causes - worst-case tip deflection 0.17 degree from assembly tolerance, thermal bending below 1 arc-min at a cap-to-cap gradient under 4 K, load deflections insignificant (CLM-0954, CALC-109). So "no deformation amplitudes for a kilometre-class deployable are held" is false; "no modal shapes or modal frequencies" remains true. NARROWED AGAIN 2026-09-18: stated first natural frequencies are now held - 0.0012 Hz for the whole Phase I satellite and a 0.0016 Hz minimum required of Rockwell's 1 km antenna (CLM-0995) - and stated beam sections and moduli for two contractors' designs (CLM-0996). What remains unheld is a computed first mode and modal shapes for a 1 km antenna structure. Found by the targeted structural-dynamics search this record's own limits said had never been run: 34 held documents carry stiffness, frequency or thermal-distortion vocabulary, and SRC-451 was invisible to the sweep because its File cell is prose.

What it assumes

No assumptions are recorded against this claim.

Where it comes from

The 2026-09-13 search report records what was searched. The register's own eight claims on this thread were read and none carries a structural dynamic figure.
