In 2025 the entire global orbital launch industry conducted 325 orbital launches, delivering an estimated 4,544 spacecraft and about 2,712,023 kg of total spacecraft mass (upmass) to orbit, with a single provider (SpaceX) responsible for 85% of all spacecraft launched that year.
Scope and limits
this is total global launch capacity across all payload types (mostly small communications satellites: 98% of spacecraft launched in 2025 were under 1,200 kg), not SBSP-specific, and does not by itself state what launch or manufacturing rate any real SBSP programme would need. It is recorded here only as the achieved 2025 industrial-base baseline against which any SBSP mass-to-orbit plan can be sized.
What it assumes
BryceTech's own launch-attribution rule (a launch is attributed to the home country of the launch provider, not the launch site) and its own estimation method for spacecraft mass where not publicly disclosed.
